The café at Dare Valley Country Park will be re-opening today, Monday 24thApril.
The café has been closed for several months which has allowed the new lease holders to take stock, plan menus – and there’s also been a partial refurbishment. The new leaseholders are Caroline and Julian Symmonds who will be familiar faces to regular visitors to the park as they have been running Cabin Cwtsh in the courtyard since January. The cwtsh theme continues as the café will now operate under the name Caffi Cwtsh.
In addition to serving lunches and hot and cold snacks, the menu at Caffi Cwtsh will feature lots of home cooked comfort food such as corned beef pie and cheese and potato pie. Ice creams and confectionery will also be available and afternoon tea will be served on the mezzanine.
Dare Valley is extremely popular with our canine residents and visitors and they will also be catered for with a dog friendly area. Of course dogs are not allowed in the play area at the front of the café so please use the courtyard entry and exit when visiting.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Cabinet Member for Environment & Leisure said:
It’s wonderful to see the café at Dare Valley Country Park re-opening. Thousands of people visit and stay in our beautiful country park annually and whilst the closure allowed for some essential works to be carried out, the café has been missed by residents and visitors alike. As a regular visitor myself, I’m very much looking forward to the re-opening and seeing the new look Caffi Cwtsh in person on my next visit.
