Three DJs who set the soundtrack to Cardiff students’ nights out in the 1990s have been tracked down for a massive reunion party.
Rich Sibbick, Ade Andrews and Peter Nuttall form a trio of vintage disc jockeys who combined their Cardiff University studies, in the nineties, with regular nights on the decks at the Park Place Students’ Union much-loved Terminal 396 venue.
All three will reunite for a special Cardiff alumni 1990s reunion, to be held at the union, on Saturday 24 August – a limited number of final tickets are on sale now.
DJ double act, Rich Sibbick and Ade Andrews will reprise their roles in the venue they spent countless nights making thousands of students tear up the dancefloor at the infamous weekly Wednesday Jive Hive disco.
Rich said: “Ade and I had some great times doing Jive Hive. Looking back, it was amazing to have such a dedicated crowd coming to hear pretty much the same tracks every week (at least when I did it)! It was always a positive vibe.”
Opening proceedings on the night will be Peter Nuttall, who was both a DJ and entertainments manager at Terminal 396, and before, when it was known at the Hanging Gardens. Peter was also a Jive Hive DJ and played records at the Saturday chart music nights, but his main decks duties were on Thursday for the dance nights.
Revellers at the 90s Re:Freshers night will also be entertained by Return To The 90s, who are known for their high energy nineties covers, spanning dance, pop and indie anthems from the decade.
Ticket holders will receive £20 credit for food and drink on the night, and they are also able to book a room in University accommodation.
