The Pottery reopened on Friday 25th March 2022 as a new look Sizzling Pub following an extensive refurbishment.
Staff and locals at the Pottery celebrated the pub’s reopening with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, following a major remodel.
Located in Pontypridd, the refreshed Pottery resumed serving guests after being closed for 29 days.
Commenting on the pub’s new look, general manager, Christopher Rickards, said: “Bringing the new look Pottery to Pontypridd is really exciting for the whole team. At the Pottery, we want to offer great food and great value for all our guests, and we’re thrilled to be providing the area with a new look dining destination that does that in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
“We’re so pleased at how brilliant the Pottery looks following the refurbishment, and it was a real honour to have special guests Maureen Clarke, David Jones, and David & Allyson Evans cut the ceremonial ribbon for us.”
Locals Maureen Clarke and David Jones visit the Pottery frequently, and during lockdown David was sadly diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukaemia. Fortunately, David is now in remission, and the couple are looking forward to returning to the new look Pottery and reuniting with friends old and new.
David and Allyson, who have been regulars at the Pottery for eight years, added: “We visit the Pottery a minimum of three times a week as we love the pub’s food, and Chris and the Pottery team always make us feel very welcome.”
