A leading specialist rail recruitment company Exxell has undergone a significant rebrand to closer align the business with its parent company, Acorn Recruitment. Going forward, the business, which was founded in 2004, will be known as Acorn Rail.
Exxell, which was originally acquired by the Acorn Group in 2009, contributed £14million revenues to the organisation. Their latest movement to change the company name to Acorn Rail will bring it firmly in line with the group’s branding, and will ensure they benefit from Acorn’s leading reputation as one of the UK’s leading multi-specialist recruitment agencies.
Following the rebrand, Acorn Rail will now be based in the Maesglas Retail Estate in Newport and will continue to provide exceptional recruitment solutions within the rail and civils industry in South Wales, London and other key cities within the UK. They will continue to work closely with their clients, including many major industry players such as Network Rail, Alun Griffiths Rail, Hammonds ECS and Babcock to find and place the most suitable workers for civil engineering, track renewals, signaling, tunneling, M&E and power.
Scott Liddle, Group Commercial Director for Acorn, said: “Over the past year, the Acorn Group has seen a lot of growth, with several new branches being opened in the North and South of England. We expect the success to continue in 2018, with plans for further branches and expansion, and this rebrand is a very exciting development for Acorn.
“The change of name from Exxell to Acorn Rail, will reassure our clients and job-seekers that they benefit from the wider support afforded by the Acorn Group, and ensures the service and dedication to our clients will remain of the highest quality. The name change is a positive step and helps reaffirm the Acorn brand as a leading provider of specialist recruitment solutions across a range of sectors throughout the UK.”
Established in 1992, Acorn has nearly 40 branches and on-site locations across the UK and in Australia. They provide specialist permanent, contract and temporary recruitment support within a number of sectors including IT and digital, commercial, legal, finance, executive search, construction, technical and engineering, nursing and healthcare, and driving, logistics and industrial. The Acorn Global arm of the business works closely with its ultimate parent Synergie, the fourth largest recruiter in Europe, which has some 600 branches across Europe and North America.
