Redkite Solicitors is on the move with bank premises takeover

Redkite Solicitors, one of the largest legal firms in the south-west and Wales, has opened new state-of-the-art premises on Stonehouse’s High Street.

The firm, which acquired the Phoenix Legal Group in 2017, has moved from its current base at 40 High Street to occupy the former Barclays bank building at number 54.

Redkite, which also has local branches in Stroud and Dursley, has invested over £40,000 in a full refurbishment of the building.

The Grade II listed building, which has been empty since the bank vacated it over two years ago, has undergone a full interior makeover. The 2475 square foot premises now offers ground floor accessibility, light-filled meeting spaces, secure document storage and a modern open plan office space for the five-strong team.

The fast-growing legal firm, which has 12 offices and more than 185 staff, has doubled its turnover to £9 million since 2017. The move will allow Redkite to offer a broader range of specialist legal services to local businesses and private clients, including commercial, property, wills and probate and family law. It also brings extra investment in IT systems, designed to enable the Stonehouse office to provide improved client service.

Karen Meggitt, Operations Director with RedKite, says:

“Our heritage and presence on the local high street stretch back over two decades in Stonehouse, and we are fully committed to supporting the local community. Even though we are only moving a few hundred yards, we are delighted to breathe new life back into a fantastic building.

“Redkite Solicitors has been helping individuals, families and businesses across England and Wales resolve their legal issues for over one hundred years. We have built our heritage on serving market towns and rural businesses and have developed our services to meet their particular needs.

“The expert team based in the Stonehouse office will continue to provide the same quality service to loyal clients while offering a more extensive range of legal services than ever before.

One team member excited about the move is receptionist Dawn Williams, who has worked at the firm for over 40 years.

She said:

“We are delighted with the new premises, which provides a better working environment for our team and a more welcoming and accessible space for clients.

“This is an exciting development for us, and we are looking forward to offering our clients an even broader range of specialist legal services as well as improved meeting facilities in the heart of the town.”
