The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K and 2K Run are set to return on Sunday 11th May 2025, offering runners of all abilities the chance to take part in one of South Wales’ most exciting and scenic running events.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, entering your first race, or simply want to enjoy the thrill of running in a vibrant community atmosphere, this event is for you.

Starting and finishing on Crescent Road, the 10K route takes runners through the heart of Caerphilly town, with the stunning Caerphilly Castle as a constant backdrop. The course is mostly flat with some gentle inclines, making it accessible to runners of all levels. Along the way, participants will pass iconic landmarks such as the Tommy Cooper statue, the giant cheese sculpture, and the medieval castle.

In 2024, elite athlete Dewi Griffiths smashed his own course record, completing the 10K in an astonishing 29 minutes and 12 seconds. Will 2025 see another record-breaking moment? Join the competition and test yourself against the best!

The 2024 race saw runners from across the UK and beyond coming together to make it the biggest and best event yet. Speaking about the continued success of the event, Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said:

“The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K and 2K Run are true highlights of our events calendar. They not only showcase the beauty of Caerphilly but also encourage more people to get involved in physical activity. We look forward to welcoming runners of all abilities to join us in 2025 for what promises to be another incredible event.”

Details about race packs, road closures, and other operational updates will be shared closer to the event date. For further information and FAQs, please visit our website.
