It’s time to reveal the most magical news of the year! Santa’s Toy Mine returns to A Welsh Coal Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park Museum from 25th November and tickets will go on sale from Tuesday 26th September.

Santa’s Toy Miners are already at work planning for this year’s event (and making toys of course) so here’s all you need to know:

What’s Santa up to this year?

Of course every toy mine ticket includes a guided tour through the toy mine to find Santa in his gorgeous grotto.  The toy miners will take you on a journey all the way through the enchantingly festive toy mine – there’ll be some clues on the way to help you find the man in red himself!

Santa is bringing magic stars all the way from the North Pole this year and every child will be given one to exchange for a gift in Santa’s Toy Shop where a choice of games and toys, freshly made in the toy mine will be waiting.

Photos with Santa will also be on offer and commemorative keepsakes of your magical moment with Santa will be available in the toy shop.  Please note there will be an additional cost for this.

Visitors can also pop into our mulled wine and snack shop pop up for a festive treat!

Tickets will be available at www.rhonddaheritagepark.com and will cost £4 for children aged 0 – 18 months and £11.50 for all other children and adults.  Of course Santa loves to welcome school groups also and tickets for these are priced at £9 per child with accompanying teachers free for the first 10 children in the group, and £5 per accompanying teacher or adult.  Please note that everyone going on the tour will need a ticket.

Schools and groups looking to attend can book by calling reception on 01443 682036. A number of quiet tours have also been arranged.  Tickets for these tours can also be booked online.

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said:

Santa’s Toy Mine is a really unique Christmas experience for children and adults alike.  The toy miners transform Rhondda Heritage Park Museum into a festive wonderland and the journey through the toy mine is something that can only be experienced here. Each year we welcome thousands of residents and visitors to our County Borough and we look forward to welcoming thousands more to the 2023 event.

Santa’s Toy Mine is sponsored by Nathaniel Cars, who have been keeping the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf and beyond on the road for over 35 years, thanks to their friendly and professional teams in Cardiff, Bridgend and Cwmbran.
