The second phase of work to repair damage to the Aberdare Park boundary wall will start this week, with a local footway closure needed.
A section of the structure opposite Broniestyn Terrace in Trecynon collapsed following Storm Bert in November 2024, and an initial phase of work to rebuild it was completed before Christmas.
Council contractor Hammonds Ltd will now return to the site in the week commencing Monday, January 6, to repair several smaller nearby sections of the wall.
The works location will be opposite Aberdare Park Primary School, just north of the section that was rebuilt in phase one.
A footway closure along the B4275 is required over 60-metres, to ensure safety for the public and the workforce.
Pedestrians should use the footway on the opposite side of the road. These arrangements are likely to remain in place until early February 2025.
Two-way traffic flow is able to be maintained on the main road, with the northbound lane narrowed near the works location.
