In a new programme to celebrate her 40th birthday, Katherine Jenkins invites viewers to sit back and take a trip down memory lane. Katherine Jenkins at 40 features interviews and an exclusive look at her life in lockdown as she approaches this important birthday.
“I invite people to join me for a slice of cake and a trip down memory lane as we raid the archives, live life in lockdown and mark this milestone together,” said the Neath-born singer. “Thank you BBC Wales for giving me a reason to reminisce, appreciate and share some of my favourite performances and personal moments as I celebrate my 40th birthday.”
The hour-long special will take fans through the keyhole of Katherine’s career and catch up with her during isolation.
While life in lockdown is obviously different for Katherine, she still has a lot on her plate. From attending the Berlin Film Festival before lockdown to promote her new film with Johnny Depp, directed by her husband Andrew Levitas, to being part of the VE Day celebrations. With a new album on the way and her weekly live performances on social media, the singer’s schedule has been busier than ever.
In addition to providing an exclusive look into her life behind the scenes, the programme will see Katherine relive some of her favourite past performances and career highlights, including singing at every Proms in the Park location in the UK and presenting Songs of Praise.
