Creditsafe, the leading credit checking specialists in fourteen countries have added fifty new members to its specialist group support team in Cardiff Bay, across IT, security, development and product.
The appointments are helping to expand the companies offering in these areas to meet the ever increasing demand in specialist credit data.
Wouter Morkel, has joined the company this month, from a career established over 20 years in finance and credit. He joins as a senior product manager, overseeing new developments for the company. Wouter has moved with his wife from South Africa, to settle in Cardiff. He said. “I have absolutely fallen in love with Wales, I hadn’t been here before accepting this new role. I’ll be joining a team of ten in Cardiff Bay. It’s a big move, but I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to join an Industry leading, dynamic and creative company with such an employee centric culture.”

Adam Calvert, has joined the IT Technology team at Creditsafe having spent 7 years in the industry prior. He said, “At Creditsafe I’ve been given the opportunity to be involved in senior level projects and I get the chance to make noticeable improvements on a day to day basis. There are so many opportunities to get involved with different projects and the staff have been friendly and supportive throughout.”
David Barry has joined as a data analyst. He said, “I wanted to join Creditsafe as it seemed like a good opportunity to join a successful and ambitious company. I also really like that there is so much focus on your development and an emphasis on the social side of things, which is unlike any company I’ve worked for previously.”

Rasa Valentinaviciute, has joined the Creditsafe group from the Office for National Statistics, where she was a Senior Statistician. She has joined the Creditsafe Group as a Junior Data Engineer. She said, “I decided to make this switch because I wanted to challenge myself and put myself in a position where I’d learn about the most current ways of handling data and gain a well-rounded set of skills. I am really happy that an opportunity to work at Creditsafe came up, because I feel like the skills I’m gaining combined with the skills I acquired in my previous job will help me progress within the company. It’s an incredibly rewarding role because I feel like I’m constantly improving. I genuinely look forward to coming into work every day.”
