Students are invited to sweep up at St David’s Cardiff to kick off the new academic year in style.
Supermarket Sweep-inspired dashes will be given away as prizes to students at the city shopping destination as part of a one-day in-mall game. Winners will receive a 10-minute £100 shopping dash at their choice of amazing participating brands, with their spree followed by cameras to broadcast their experience on the centre’s social channels.
The Student Shopper Sweep event will be held between 11am-6pm on Thursday 26th September, located on the upper level of the Grand Arcade – between Victoria’s Secret and River Island. Winners of the game will be chosen every half an hour for a spree in different brands throughout the day with entertainment provided by a DJ and live entertainment acts.
From 23rd September until 6th October, a number of St David’s stores will also host student offers, discounts, and perks. With 160 brands across the centre including designer names and high street favourites, as well as delicious dining, the Student Shopper Sweep on 26th September is not to be missed.
Helen Morgan, Centre Director at St David’s Cardiff, commented: “We’re really excited to welcome this year’s student intake to the city and experience the best of St David’s. The Student Shopper Sweep is set to be a fun and entertaining event which we’re sure will be very popular. Along with a fortnight of offers, we plan to show students that when it comes to shopping, St David’s means business.”
