Nookee at Swansea Fringe 2023
The highly anticipated Swansea Fringe Festival is set to return from 3rd to 5th October, bringing an exciting array of music, comedy, spoken word, and theatre to the heart of the city. Now in its 9th year, the 2024 Swansea Fringe promises to be better than ever, featuring an eclectic lineup of local and national talent across a range of venues in Swansea.
Over 60+ acts will appear across the 3 days with headliners across the diverse stages include Panic Shack, Angharad, Minas, Skunkadelic, Confessions of a Traitor, Geraint Løvgreen, comedian Nik Coppin, Sigiriya and King Goon.
With last year’s festival hailed as a hidden gem and awarded a 4 star review by Buzz magazine, the 2024 event is looking to attract even more people by reducing passes to just £20 for all events. Participating venues this year include The Bunkhouse, Hangar 18, Hippos, Elysium, Urban HQ and Ty Tawe.
Organised by Swansea Music Hub, this year’s festival is supported by Swansea Council as main sponsor and has been timed to coincide with Swansea Arts Weekend. Stage sponsors for the Fringe are Swansea Arena, Urban Village, PRS and Menter Abertawe.

From intimate acoustic sets and award-winning comedy to raucous late-night performances, this year’s festival really offers something for everyone”, says festival organiser Jordan McGuire. “The Fringe is all about the the city coming together to celebrate our incredible arts and culture scene. We want everyone to be a part of that, which is why we’ve reduced ticket prices and added dedicated after-dark stages this year to keep the party going into the early hours.”

Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Equalities and Human Rights, Councillor Elliott King said: “We are so pleased to be able to continue our support of the grassroots Swansea Fringe, which has grown over the years to the current partnership, making a fantastic contribution to a whole weekend of arts and cultural activity.  There is something for everyone to enjoy over the weekend and the Fringe provides a fantastic showcase for the wealth of diverse talent in this area.  Huge well done to all involved, from performers to the venue staff, organisers and funding partners, this is a great event for Swansea’s cultural profile and we look forward to seeing it go from strength to strength, as part of Swansea’s ever growing cultural offer and events programme.”
Tickets for the 2024 Swansea Fringe Festival are available now at an incredible price of just £20, offering festival-goers access to all performances and events.
“We are thrilled with the 2024 Swansea Fringe Festival lineup and can’t wait for the buzz it creates across the city”, said Fringe Founder Joe Bayliss. “It’s a celebration of the vibrant cultural scene here in Swansea, and with the support of Swansea Council and our stage sponsors, we’re able to offer a diverse, affordable event that reflects the creative spirit of this city.”
