Swansea based Gin Company, Cygnet Gin Distillery, are now proud owners of a prestigious ‘Bronze’ award from the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

[aoa id=”1″]The IWSC awards are internationally recognised and known by trade and consumers who actively seek out the winners from this competition; it really does set the benchmark for international wine and spirits quality.
The competition was established in 1969 and is one of the longest running award competitions for wines and spirits across ninety countries.

The Swansea Gin Distillery are over the moon to receive such accolade, with Master Distiller Dai Wakely positively beaming over the news:[/aoa]

“We knew how great our gin was, it’s something we’re incredibly proud of; however to receive this award was really special. It’s such an established and well-coveted awards, it means the world. We will be proudly displaying the sticker on our bottles as soon as possible and we’re celebrating this weekend with a huge gin festival in Cardiff so it’s a great week for us.”

The gin was judged via a lengthy and gruelling judging process, with samples being tested in labs as well as graded by a panel of independent judges. To win ‘Bronze’ the gin placed between 85-89 of a possible 100.

Cygnet Gin distill, bottle and ship every single bottle of Cygnet live from their own Gin Distillery at 1, York Street, Swansea. Since March 2018 the gin company has sold over 15,000 bottles, with every single bottle hand signed, dated, batch numbered and bottle numbered making its mark as a true craft gin.

The Gin Distillery are celebrating the IWSC bronze award by giving away a FREE Cygnet Gin miniature with every online order made between now and 6th August.

Cygnet Gin Distillery will also be showcasing their gin at the St David’s Gin Festival this weekend alongside Llanllyr Source.
