Swansea’s fireworks display to return to St Helen’s

Thousands of residents, families and students are expected to head over to St Helen’s Ground to watch a spectacular ‘Musicals after Dark’ themed fireworks display on Tuesday, November 5.

Swansea Council welcomes back its annual firework display in November, with affordable tickets starting at £2 when bought in advance – that’s just £10 for a family of five, and cheaper and safer than doing your own display!

Gates open at 5pm with pre-show entertainment starting at 5.30pm, before the main firework display at 7pm.  Advance tickets are now available to purchase online.

This year’s event will feature performances from shows such as Beauty and the Beast, SIX and the Greatest Showman. There will also be the opportunity to meet your favourite characters including Wicked’s Elphaba and Glinda, the Phantom of the Opera, and Ursula and Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Plus, with more food trucks this year there will be plenty of choice for food and drinks.

To get the crowd ready for the main event, there will be an amazing illuminated 25min pre-fireworks show.

Swansea Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “We deliver great events for the people of Swansea to enjoy – and this is a key event in our annual programme.

“We recognise the continuing pressures on families so have once again held ticket prices.

“For example, a ticket for a family of five is just £10, equivalent to just £2 each which is really great value for an entertaining, safe, family-friendly night out.

“We’re also holding parking charges at £5 a vehicle, the same price as in previous years.”

He added: “The annual fireworks display is part of the council’s commitment providing our communities with family-friendly free or low-cost attractions and events like the Wales Airshow and the Christmas parade to help them through the cost-of-living crisis.”

People heading for the show should plan ahead and arrive early, the event is always very busy and we wouldn’t want anyone to miss a moment of the action. To get people in the mood there will be an entertainment stage, food stalls, music and much more in the countdown to the fireworks display.
