The Factory returns to Willow Globe with Anthony and Cleopatra

The Factory Theatre Company will be returning to the Willow Globe in Mid Wales on Saturday, July 13 with a one-off performance of Anthony and Cleopatra.

The company, started by renowned theatre director and master of verse Tim Caroll, has built an outstanding reputation nationally and locally with sell out performances.

This group does Shakespeare differently. The actors always set themselves unusual tasks which makes for a thrilling audience experience.

They might not know who is playing the other characters in the play until they speak and someone replies, they might decide to only use props provided by the audience, they might end up doing an impromptu promenade performance around the farm or use the space and furniture in way you had never thought of! Even they may not know what is in store until they do it.

The thing that stays the same is the text. Other than that, anything can happen! This will be a whirlwind adventure of a theatre experience delivered by a huge cast of outstanding actors at the very top of their game.

Located at Penlanole, Llanwrthwl, near Llandrindod Wells, The Willow Globe is a scaled down, living version of the Globe in London, being a third of its size in diameter. The willow has been carefully woven into an organic and spiritual theatre, starkly sculptural in spring, which is almost completely absorbed by its lush, green surroundings in summer months.
