Due to essential maintenance works, part of the Cardiff Bay Barrage will be closed to the public on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th November between 08.30am – 17.00.

The walkway will be open from the Cardiff Bay side as far as the Fish Pass and Café Hafren, the play area and Skate Park will still be available for use.

There will however be no access to and from the Penarth side of the Barrage.

Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Peter Bradbury said:

“Unfortunately, whilst important maintenance work is carried out to the Barrage, there can be no public access for safety reasons. Hopefully, by giving plenty of notice of the works will give all users of the walkway enough time to plan alternative routes. The skate park and play area will remain open, accessible from the Cardiff Bay side of the Barrage.”
