The Summer season is stepping up, as the latest round of tickets for The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty are now on sale.

Lido-lovers can now purchase tickets for all sessions happening from June 4 – June 30, including the new additional daytime swims.

During half term, Lido Ponty is open seven days a week for two early morning swims, followed by six family fun/casual sessions where the inflatables and activities are out and the splash pool with fountain is on.

From Monday, June 5, the summer timetable is in place, which will see on weekdays:

    • Two early morning lane/casual swims in the main pool and the activities pool.
    • Four daytime sessions where the main pool is open for lane/casual swimming and the splash pool is open for those with pre-schoolers.
    • Two after-school sessions where all three pools are open and the inflatable obstacle course, zorb and boats are out.

Weekends, bank holidays and school holidays will remain the same throughout the season, with two early morning swim sessions, followed by six family fun/casual sessions.

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said: “It’s that time of year again when the weather (hopefully) hots up and Lido Ponty extends its opening hours to offer even more sessions in its heated outdoor pools.

“Early morning swims remain popular whatever the weather and we must say a huge thank you to our dedicated “Lido Lot” who are here for the first swims of the day, come rain or shine!

“The new timetable offers more opportunities to visit Lido Ponty in the day time for a lane or casual swim. As the splash pool with fountain is open, it’s also a nice place to take a little one on a sunny day when everyone else is in school – especially as you have the wider surroundings of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and Lido Play to help you make a day of it.

“After school sessions are extremely popular so we do advise you book in advance. We can’t wait to see you at Lido Ponty for Summer 2023.”

Tickets for Lido Ponty are £3 for adults and free for those aged 16 and under. Tickets must be booked online in advance – there are no walk ups.

There is a maximum of six people per booking. If you try to book more than six people in a session the system will show as no availability. For group bookings, please email [email protected]

The booking system offers early morning swims and family fun/casual sessions. Please check you are in the right section of the booking system for the time you wish to attend. If you want the first two swims of the day, select early morning swims, if you want later sessions – including weekends and after school – please select family fun/casual.

Activity bands are £2.50 per person and one must be purchased for every person (including under 16s) who wish to go on the inflatable obstacle course, zorb and boats. You can buy these online at the time of booking or on arrival for your swim.
