TMA Club partners with Swansea Building Society

TMA Club has announced a new partnership with Swansea Building Society which gives its Club members access to the Society’s wide range of residential, buy to let and holiday let mortgage products.

TMA is a mortgage club and support service that is dedicated to Directly Authorised (DA) businesses within the UK Intermediary Market. It provides an extensive proposition offering mortgage, protection and general insurance products, as well as compliance support and ancillary services, to support DA’s build sustainable and quality business.

It does this through its innovative training programme, cost-saving technology solutions, flexible compliance support and bespoke relationship management. TMA designs its propositions with the aim of supporting its members through the regulatory landscape and providing both personal and professional development opportunities.

The new partnership means that TMA’s offering will now include Swansea Building Society’s recently expanded range of unique and highly competitive mortgage products. This includes its new Green Mortgage, aimed at incentivising energy-efficient homes. This product is available only on properties which have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of A or B, rewarding the purchasing of such homes with an especially low interest rate.

Swansea Building Society has also recently increased loan to value amounts for buy to let and holiday let mortgages, launched new products for Limited Company buy to let and holiday let mortgages, and is now allowing portfolio landlord applications for the first time in its 99-year history.

Swansea Building Society’s flexible approach will also mean that TMA brokers will have several other unique options when offering mortgages to their clients. These include: all cases being manually underwritten and assessed; self-employed borrowers with complex income sources being considered on an individual basis; properties with agricultural ties and small level commercial use – including kennels, catteries, livery or holiday cottages – being considered; and no credit score being needed for applicants.

Alun Williams, Chief Executive at Swansea Building Society, said:

“We are delighted to enter this partnership with TMA Club. We believe our unique range of mortgage products, and our flexible, personal approach, will extend the scope of propositions available to its brokers and advisers.
“At Swansea Building Society we believe passionately in creating mortgage products that fit with homebuyers’ specific needs – however unique. We treat all applications on an individual basis with the aim of helping more people receive the appropriate finance to fund their dream home.”

Lisa Martin, Development Director at TMA, added:

“With more and more advisers seeking guidance on underserved customers, such as the self-employed, the addition of Swansea Building Society is very timely and one which we know will provide added value. Swansea Building Society brings a different and refreshing approach to the market, and through this latest partnership, we will be able to continue providing our members with a wide range of products to suit each client’s needs.”
