Towergate Insurance Brokers has appointed two new members to its team in Wales to expand its existing claims division and offering.

Alex Evans-Jones and Dan Riley both recently joined the business, bringing with them a wealth of experience gained from working within the insurance industry.

Claims Manager Alex has over 15 years’ experience in the industry, spending the past eight years at Jelf Insurance Brokers. He specialises in technical claims and trend analysis, as well as finding solutions to often complex situations.

Dan Riley, Claims Handler, brings with him 16 years of experience within the insurance industry, having also joined from Jelf Insurance Brokers, where he worked for over 12 years. Dan deals with all types of insurance claims, including motor, property and liability claims.

Justin Newton, Commercial Director at Towergate Insurance Brokers said: “These are really exciting times for Towergate Insurance Brokers in Wales, which have enabled us to expand our current team to meet the increased demand we are experiencing.

“We’re delighted to have attracted such experience in both Alex and Dan. Both are really committed to providing exceptional levels of customer service, and Alex, in particular, has a phenomenal ability to identify trends and work with clients to minimise their risks. I’m sure our clients will really benefit from working closely with them.”

Alex said: “For a while now I’ve been looking for a new challenge, and so when I had the opportunity to join the team here in Cardiff, I jumped at the chance. We’ve got a really great team together so far and I’m looking forward to being part of the future of the business and delivering great results for our clients.”

Dan added: “I’m also delighted to join Towergate Insurance Brokers – their national brand, scale and stature backed with their local presence across the UK is very much something that attracted me to the business. It’s been a seamless transition so far and I’m excited to work with my new colleagues to hit the ground running and demonstrate our expertise in the claims space.”

Away from the office Alex enjoys spending time with his family and is a black belt in Judo and red belt in kick boxing. Dan spends most of his time at the beach, having previously even competed in the 13 mile ‘Darth Mannion’ challenge along the South Gower coast.

Towergate Insurance Brokers is one of the UK’s leading independent insurance brokers and risk management advisors.
