Watkin Property Ventures (WPV) has pledged £20,000 to Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice as part of its ongoing support for the charity. The donation will contribute to the hospice’s Quality Moments Matter campaign, which aims to enhance the quality of life for terminally ill children.

Tŷ Gobaith works with children and young people from across north Wales who have life-threatening conditions to provide professional care and to support to their families. With a team based across the region, WPV staff were keen to take part in the campaign and contribute to this worthwhile cause.

Mark Watkin Jones, Chief Executive of WPV, said: “We are proud to be involved with this important charity, which has such a positive impact on local children and their families. It can make a huge difference to people’s lives, and we’re glad to continue our support and to be a part of the fundraising.”

As part of their efforts, Tŷ Gobaith will host a 36-hour fundraising marathon to raise an additional £400,000 towards the campaign, which includes a live event in Chester, with WPV staff members also participating.

Andy Everley from Tŷ Gobaith added: “We need to raise an additional £400,000 to provide more quality moments that bring fun and joy to every child in our care, and we are so grateful to Watkin Property Ventures for signing up to be one of our generous Matchers. Without this, we would not be able to meet the clinical care needs of the children and would not be able to provide extra quality activities such as days out and therapeutic play.

“Our campaign will rely on an initial injection of £200,000 from our most generous supporters, like Watkin Property Ventures, to create a cash ‘match pot’ that we hope encourages the wider community to make a donation during our 36-hour campaign.”
