Wales’ first ever shoppable window comes to Cardiff arcades

Lone Design Club, Cardiff.

Shoppers in Cardiff can now window shop through Wales’ first digital shop front, brought to the capital by Morgan Quarter and fashion, beauty and lifestyle retailer, Lone Design Club.

Using QR codes, these stores will be fully operational around the clock. Shoppers can browse a collection of independent, sustainable, and ethical retailers from in the arcade, other stores and online to purchase items and sign-up to a wealth of events and activities via the Lone Design Club Digital Web Store which includes digital experiences, workshops, beauty events and tutorials.

This fully interactive experience supports the growing conscious consumerism movement and will allow consumers to support local and small designers in their time of need by shopping the latest wares from brands they know and love, plus new exciting independents – without having to go into the shop.

Pippa Taylor, Asset Manager at Lasalle Investment Management, said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting the first ever Phygital window in Wales, thanks to the innovative Lone Design Club. It is more important now than ever to support the local talent and the interactive shop front is a new and exciting way to do this.

“The Morgan Quarter is known for its brilliant independent stores and boutiques, so the Lone Design Club fits in perfectly. We look forward to welcoming people to the arcades to explore the Phygital windows and see what Lone Design Club has to offer while finding other hidden gems.”

The windows will showcase the best in independent Welsh and wider UK fashion, supporting businesses that are making innovative changes in sustainability, ethics and social responsibility.

Lone Design Club CEO Rebecca Morter, Forbes 30 Under 30, said: “It is wonderful to be working with La Salle and Morgan Quarter to bring back the independent to the city centre, celebrating our homegrown talent. Here at LDC, we’re all about community and love creating spaces for smaller brands to access prime locations and bring consumers a taste of the innovation that’s happening within the sustainable sector. This powerhouse formula will bring an exciting, immersive retail experience with the focus on storytelling, sustainability and ethics whilst pushing the boundaries of creativity.”

You can find Lone Design Club’s Phygital window at 22-24 Morgan Arcade and 18 The Hayes.
