The content marketing agency, BrandContent, is expanding its team after celebrating its fifth award-winning year.

The new appointments will enable the Cardiff-based agency to take on new clients in new sectors.

The new hires include former Senior Media and PR Officer at the charity Marie Curie, Alice Lally who joins the BrandContent PR team as Account Manager where she will deliver PR campaigns and consultancy for clients including international travel money specialist Equals and home energy-saving app Loop.

Alice joins BrandContent as the agency expands its client roster to industries beyond Tech and Financial services and will support the agency growth into new sectors working with brands who have a positive impact on the world.

Meanwhile, Rebekah Hewett joins the team as an Account Executive. Previously a Communications Officer at Trivallis, a housing association based in Rhondda Cynon Taff (RCT), Rebekah has worked on both external and internal PR campaigns within the housing sector.

Rebekah will support the PR team, where she will be responsible for delivering digital PR campaigns for clients including FTSE 100 insurer, Admiral.

The double-hire will see BrandContent’s PR division of the agency grow from three to five people, reflecting the agency’s recent growth and account wins.

Discussing her appointment, Alice Lally, Account Manager at BrandContent, said:“I’m really excited to be joining an agency with such an impressive track record for producing award-winning work and I’m looking forward to getting started on 2020 campaigns”.

2019 marked another successful year which has saw BrandContent enjoy 100% client retention, as well as winning a number of new clients in new sectors including energy and the charity sector.

The fast-growing list of clients working with BrandContent include FTSE 100-listed Admiral, AIM- Listed FairFX, insurer Ageas, NFU Mutual, Loop and several tech clients in the UK.

Sharon Flaherty, founder and CEO at BrandContent, set up the Cardiff-based agency after leaving Flintshire-based price comparison firm MoneySuperMarket as its group head of communications in 2015.

Sharon Flaherty, Founder and CEO of BrandContent, said:

“I’m really excited about what the new team will bring to the agency. We have an ambitious growth strategy for 2020 including entering new markets and our new hires will help us on this journey. In five years, we have grown from one woman at a kitchen table to the Best Small Content Agency in the UK, and the growth plan doesn’t stop there. We will have a fresh focus for 2020, with many new and exciting announcements to be expected from the agency.”
