Where you can see Santa in Rhondda Cynon Taf 2024

Credit: RCT Council

Santa Claus is packing up his grotto and flying into our town centres this year and he’s bringing a Santa sack full of fun with him!
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s events team will be assisting Santa as always and are pleased to deliver Christmas Events in the following town centres:

29th November

3pm – 6.30pm

Ferndale, Lime Street Car Park
30th November

12pm – 5pm

Tonypandy, De-Winton Street Car Park
5th December

3pm – 6.30pm

Porth, Porth Plaza Car Park
6th December

3pm – 6.30pm

Llantrisant, Gwaunruperra Road Car Park
7th December
12pm – 5pm
Mountain Ash, Henry Street Car Park

Every effort has been made to make this an affordable Christmas event for the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf and tokens will be available for sale for £1 each on the day to use for each activity.  All activities will require 1 token per child, except Santa’s Grotto which will require 2 tokens and includes a gift from Santa.

There’ll be lots of festive fun on offer, including:

  • Giant Snow Globe – step into our Christmas snow scene for that perfect festive photo!
  • Synthetic Ice Rink – lots of skating fun for kids and adults!
  • Childrens Fun Fair (3 rides)
  • Santa’s Grotto – meet Santa and receive your first Christmas present.

Each town centre will also have children’s entertainment and snow machines to really get the festive season started!

Pontypridd, Aberdare and Treorchy town centres will also be celebrating Christmas with town centre events and will receive financial support from the council to support the delivery of these events.

Please follow @whatsonrct on facebook where information on these events will be shared.

Why not get into the Christmas spirit this season by coming along to as many town centre events as you’d like? Don’t forget our town centres are full of great places to eat and shop so you can really make the most of it!

Councillor Bob Harris, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Communities said:

Christmas can be a difficult time for many with its added financial pressures so we continue to offer low cost, town centre events which still deliver lots of festive fun.  There’s a lot of entertainment on offer and of course, our town centre businesses and eateries will be open so please, come along, enjoy and shop local this Christmas.
