Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Countryside and Landscape Service, in conjunction with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Caerphilly Adventure Group, Caerphilly Ramblers, Islwyn Ramblers and other partners, are once again throwing down a SERIOUS challenge for walkers and runners of all abilities.
Following on from the successful FORGE 2023, the challenge continues in the stunning surrounds of the Rhymney Valley with its challenging terrain, rich countryside and commanding views.
The start and finish of this years challenge is Idris Davies School.
As always… The Caerphilly Challenge Series will have routes suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.
The routes are in the process of being planned/finalised, exact distances will be confirmed as soon as we nail them down)
Usually we have:
- 1–5-mile route (led walk) * Entries on the day
- 9–11-mile route (led walk)
- 14–16-mile route (self-led challenge and led walk)
- 20–22-mile route (self-led challenge and led walk)
The self-led challenges are designed to accommodate walkers, joggers or runners.
Entry fees as follows: –
- 21 mile/ 16 mile/ 10 mile route – Normal price £12
- 1-5 mile Healthy Walk- £2
- Extra £2 discount for entrants aged 18 and under
- If your entry is accepted the fee is non refundable
No entries will be accepted after the 1st of May 2024
Minimum entry age is 12 years
