The Women in Investment Awards 2019 has revealed this year’s full list of nominees – which includes a Partner at Cardiff-based Quantum Advisory, Amanda Burdge.
The national Women in Investment Awards, now in its third year, aims to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in all areas of the investment industry – a sector where they are still under-represented.
Amanda was one of Quantum’s first employees having joined in 2001, and was recently promoted from Principal Investment Consultant to Partner. With over 25 years’ industry experience, Amanda is responsible for providing investment advice to many of Quantum’s key clients and currently sits on the Regulation Committee for the Pensions Management Institute. Outside of her full-time position with Quantum, Amanda has worked as an examiner for the Pensions Management Institute and as an adviser for The Pensions Advisory Service.
Quantum employs more than 120 people across its Cardiff headquarters and regional offices in Bristol, Birmingham, London and Amersham.
A spokesperson for the Women in Investment Awards said: “A big step forward has been taken over the last couple of years in pushing for greater diversity in the investment industry but the consensus is there is still a long way to go, especially when it comes to narrowing the gender pay gap, pushing for more flexible working arrangements, and increasing the number of women in senior positions.
“Our awards not only honour the inspiring achievements of women across all parts of the investment industry, they also help shape the discussion around how we can improve diversity within the sector as we highlight some of the most forward-thinking initiatives in this area.”
This year’s ceremony takes place on Wednesday 27 November at Finsbury Square in London.
