Outerspace Group, one of the UK’s leading SIP (structural insulated panel) kit manufacturers, has been named as the Best Luxury Sustainable Outdoor Buildings Manufacturer 2022.  The prestigious national award was given to the Wrexham based business in recognition for their achievements and advancements throughout the year.

The Design & Build Awards are held annually and awarded following detailed research and analysis.  The expert judges keep up to date with the latest trends and innovations within each industry and ensure that recipients are awarded for excellence within their specific area of expertise.

Outerspace Group’s entire range of buildings are made in their North Wales factory that’s powered by green energy.  Each building is designed to produce minimal waste and are highly insulated to make them energy efficient and usable all year around.  The company has zero carbon ambitions and is constantly looking for ways to further reduce their carbon footprint in the manufacture and use of their sustainable buildings.

Phil Jackson, Chief Executive of Outerspace, comments: “It’s fantastic to have received this nationally recognised award for the work we are doing in manufacturing high quality and sustainable outdoor buildings.  Sustainable manufacturing, and enabling the energy efficient use of our buildings, is at the core of what we do and we’re proud for the team to have been recognised in this way.”

Earlier this year, Outerspace received significant investment from Steve Morgan’s investment vehicle, Bridgemere UK, to drive their rapid growth.  The multi-million-pound investment saw Bridgemere take a major stake in the business and drive expansion to a brand new 25,000sq.ft. manufacturing facility on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.  The investment will support the company’s ambition to become the UK’s largest supplier of SIP panel building kits.

As well as working with customers across the UK, Outerspace supplies national builders’ merchant giants Jewson through their 600+ UK branches with building kits specifically for the trade.  The company expects to capitalise further on the growing garden room and luxury holiday lodge markets where they already supply customers across the UK.
