Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is delighted to announce that local celebrities Nathan Wyburn and Wayne Courtney have been chosen as Patrons of the charity.

Nathan and Wayne are long-term supporters of Cardiff & Vale Health Charity and have hosted the PROP Blue Tie Ball and the Cardiff Bay Bed Push Challenge, as well as getting involved in the promotion of all of the Health Charity’s events.

Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is the official charity of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, which supports the work of two of the largest hospitals in Wales: University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough plus the wider UHB healthcare providers across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Health Charity manages over 300 separate funds, supporting every area of health care, providing equipment, research, treatment and patient care that is not normally funded from the NHS budget.

Simone Joslyn, Head of Arts and Health Charity said: “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Nathan and Wayne as Patrons of the Health Charity.  They have both shown incredible support to us during the past few years, attending our events and fundraising for us that we felt it was only right that they should be asked to be Patrons.

“Both Nathan and Wayne are well-known and respected within the community and we are look forward to them being a part of our team and spreading the word about fundraising and events held by the Health Charity.”

Nathan said: “It’s an absolute honour to be asked to be patron of the Health Charity. Working so closely with them in recent years has both inspired me and made a huge difference to others. I’m determined to continue this through the fundraising work and with my art.  I’m beyond thrilled.”

Wayne said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be asked to be patron of a charity I wholeheartedly support, I see first-hand the benefits of the Health Charity and look forward to working alongside them at many more fundraisers.”

Nathan and Wayne have kick-started their fundraising for the Health Charity by holding Roath Rocks Divas Live Night which will be held on 20th September at St. Andrew’s Church, Roath.
